Glenview Close is our Independent Living Unit complex, also situated in Windsor Street Glenorchy.
Glenview Close comprises 10 modern, 2-bedroom luxury units located next door to Glenview Home.
Residents live independently but have 24-hour access to Glenview nurses and can access other Glenview services such as meals, laundry, activities and cleaning services. Glenview Close residents have priority access to Glenview Home for respite or permanent residential care, should this ever become necessary or desirable.
All villas have nurse-call access for peace of mind and 24 hour access to a registered nurse and care staff.
The grounds are fully fenced with after-hours automatic security gates and lighting.
All villas have magnificent views over Glenorchy, the Derwent River and Collins Cap.
How much does it cost?
Villas may be obtained on a 'lifetime tenancy' arrangement, by paying the market value price when a villa is available. Currently the prices are set at $101 000.
Glenview retains a deferred management fee upon disposal of the unit to the next occupant, based on the period of tenancy (5% per annum for years 1 to 5 and 2.5% per annum for years 6 to 10). The balance is refunded to the resident or their estate.
In addition, there is a weekly service fee of $88.00 to cover rates and taxes, building insurance, grounds maintenance, repairs, etc. Eligible pensioners will receive rent assistance to reduce this amount.
