Residential Respite
About respite care
As well as permanent residential aged care, Glenview also has four Respite Rooms.
Respite is just as it sounds - an opportunity for a family or an individual to take 'some time out' from the pressures of being a full time carer or for an aged person to have a break from living independently, when this becomes difficult.
Respite is also used as a way for a family or an individual to 'try out' residential care and see if it might be an option for them.
Respite is usually booked for periods of two weeks although longer or shorter periods can be arranged with adequate notice. Please phone 1800 059 059.
Bookings are made through the Carer Respite Centre and interested people should contact them to make a booking.
All Glenview respite rooms are individual rooms. All services are provided including full nursing care, meals, laundry, activities and outings.
